Breakfast products the Dutch way

A typical Dutch breakfast revolves around bread with something sweet or savoury on top. Hagelslag, the famous chocolate sprinkles, is a must, and the De Ruijter dark chocolate sprinkles in a 1.5kg pack keep a big household or breakfast buffet going for a long time. Another favourite is beschuit, a light round rusk you top with butter and fruit sprinkles, available from Bolletje.

Peanut butter, spreads and sweet toppings

Calvé peanut butter comes in 1kg and 10kg sizes as well as handy 15g portions, and Swartberg supplies it in tubs up to 10kg for professional kitchens. Fans of something sweeter can pick the Lotus Biscoff speculoos spread, the Côte d'Or Noir de Noir chocolate spread or Ovomaltine Crunchy Cream.
